Day 143 – Eating Out Again…
After 2 weeks of fabulous food during our 2 weeks in Cornwall, it was back to normal today. However, with no food in the fridge, lunch out seemed a good idea, so it was off to our favourite local restaurant. Halloumi Fritters and salad was the dish of the day and tasted pretty good. 
Day 142 – So Long…
Sadly, we won’t be waking up to this view of Porthleven tomorrow – yesterday was our last full day, and we headed home today. We’ve had a glorious few days in Cornwall (almost a fortnight in fact) – we’ve seen wonderful scenery, walked on some beautiful sandy beaches, and eaten some excellent food. What’s not to like! We will be back…

Day 141 – Colours Of The Rainbow…
Just love this row of colourful beach huts at Swanpool Beach, near Falmouth. Each is named after a type of fish. When we walked back a while later, several of them were open, spoiling the symmetry of the shot. 
Day 140 – Last Rays…
Rather windy tonight here in Cornwall so didn’t venture out to take photos, but then this awesome sunset appeared… A grab shot with my trusty Sony camera captured it perfectly. 
Day 139 – Oldie But Goodie…
Today was the last day of the 2019 Cape to Cape tour for classic cars, and the 40 cars involved passed right in front of the restaurant where we were eating lunch. Started in 2004, this is a charity fundraising event, with the cars and crews traveling from Cape Trafalgar in Spain to Cape Cornwall. The Triumph TR6 is a favorite of mine – I used to work on the fuel systems when I was an apprentice…
Day 138 – Beware Incoming Tide…
Kynance Cove, like many in Cornwall, has beautiful sandy beaches exposed at low tide. As the tide comes in though, parts of the beach are cut off, and people getting stranded and needing rescuing is a common occurrence.

The Wheal Prosper Mine At Rinsey Head in Cornwall was not hugely successful – it was only worked from 1860-1866 before being abandoned. Only the ruins remain…
Day 136 – How Much A Gallon…?
I remember paying around 4s 9d a gallon for fuel in the late 1960s, so 2s 3d must have been significantly earlier. No wonder it was sold out at those prices…
