Day 330 – Just Another Sunset…

I know, it’s the same location as 2 days ago, but you can’t ignore a sunset like this! I spent a good hour just enjoying the drama and beauty of it all. I also managed a few photos with the Sony camera, and wet feet too…

Day 329 – The Long Walk…

With the tide a long way out, this lone surfboarder had a long walk back across an empty beach. On a wet Monday in late November he didn’t have any company in the sea at Fistral Beach, Newquay.

Day 328 – The Best Camera…

… is the one you have with you. A little bit of sun in an otherwise grey day, just as we arrived at Watergate Bay. No time to get the Sony camera out, so a grab shot with the iPhone. A few seconds later the light had gone for the day…

Day 299 – The Wall…

This is part of the East Side Gallery in Berlin, an outdoor art gallery using a 1.3km long section of the original Berlin Wall. The wall ‘fell’ in 1989, and a few short sections have been preserved to reflect their historical significance. Most of the paintings in the gallery depict themes of peace or reconciliation.

Day 284 – A Last Rose…

The cold wet weather that we came back to yesterday is certainly impacting on the garden – there are fallen leaves everywhere and most of the perennial plants have finished flowering and are looking very sad. The roses usually last until the first hard frosts, and this beautiful blossom stood out from the yellowing plants around it. Probably the last we can expect this year though…
