With half an hour to kill this afternoon, I parked up close to this woodland and took a stroll through the trees. With little to interrupt my thoughts, it was a good opportunity to think through some ideas and get them in perspective.

Our 10 year old granddaughter wanted ‘an adventure’ today, so as it was fine we decided to climb The Wrekin. This 1335ft hill is the highest point around here, and although there is a clear and reasonably well maintained path, it’s still a fair climb – around 1.5 miles in distance, but almost 1000ft in elevation. Views from the top are amazing…
So often security gates and grilles spoil a good photo, or just plain stop you from getting where you need to stand for the best shot. Here they add an interesting texture to an otherwise uninspiring view.
This is the new pedestrian bridge linking Telford Town Centre with the railway station. Replacing the original open bridge built in 1986, this fully enclosed bridge cost £10m and took two years to build.
