Day 116 – Crop Rotation…

The extremely hot summer last year not only caused low grass yields for farmers, but has left meadows in poor condition this year. Several of our local dairy farmers have had to plough up meadows this year and plant with maize to give the ground chance to recover.

Day 115 – Give Way…

Living in the country has its challenges, especially if you are in a hurry. On the way home today we found our way blocked by some of our local farmer’s 700 odd Friesian cows crossing the road on the way to milking.
