After a full day working in the garden, a ‘special’ gin and tonic was the least we deserved, even if we were almost too tired to enjoy it! Very handy having our own ‘cocktail corner’ in the kitchen…

Day 217 – Roses Are Red…
… and lots of other colours too. My wife loves flowers, especially roses, so this jumbo bunch of multi-colored blooms looked perfect for our kitchen.
Day 216 – A British Summer…
After our hot and sunny week in Ibiza, we were not unhappy at the prospect of some cooler weather back home. What we didn’t plan on was thunderstorms and torrential rain this afternoon! Fortunately it didn’t last long, and we can expect some kinder weather next week.
Day 214 – Last Night Blues…
So, after our family left this afternoon, we had a few hours to relax before a last meal and packing for our return trip tomorrow. Back to reality it is then, with lawns to mow, washing to get done and a trip to the supermarket. Next holiday is Santorini in October – can’t wait!
Day 213 – Torre Del Mar (2) …
Our hotel in Ibiza. It’s been a great, albeit very short break, and we just have tomorrow left, and then our flight home on Saturday. Over 30 years since we were last here, and probably not somewhere I would rush back to, but a super holiday anyway.

Day 209 – Not The View…

An hour and a half on the phone, and then we were on our way to London for a flight tomorrow – the best option we could book. So here we are at the London City Airport Hotel… What joy…
Day 208 – Welcome All…
A traditional lych gate entrance at a little church near Whitmore that we pass regularly.
Day 206 – All Quiet…
This is our closest railway station, at Whitchurch, Shropshire. To say it is quiet is an understatement- it gets maybe half a dozen trains a day stopping here, and in ten years of living around here, we’ve never used it…
