Day 232 – The Best Laid Plans…

With good weather forecast for this evening, I was looking forward to an hour or so of sunset photography in Chester while my wife was visiting friends nearby. Sadly it wasn’t to be – the rain started as I got to Chester and didn’t let up until I left. It was too wet to hang around outside, so I just managed a few shots from under cover.

Day 228 – Storm Clouds Gathering…

Another appalling day’s weather today – pretty much wall to wall heavy rain all day. At least the forecast for tomorrow is more promising…

Day 224 – Pot Of Gold…

The rather unsettled weather just lately has seen storms, heavy rain, strong winds and sunshine all in the same day, and today has been no exception. Late this afternoon a sharp shower followed by bright sunshine created this beautiful rainbow over the fields around us.

Day 216 – A British Summer…

After our hot and sunny week in Ibiza, we were not unhappy at the prospect of some cooler weather back home. What we didn’t plan on was thunderstorms and torrential rain this afternoon! Fortunately it didn’t last long, and we can expect some kinder weather next week.

Day 71 – What A Difference…

… a day makes. Yesterday was chilly, but with blue skies and bright sunshine, very much a spring day. Today however is even colder, the sky is dull grey, and it’s raining pretty hard just now. Those hardy souls venturing out are all carrying umbrellas. Feels more like November than March!
