Day 162 – Another Rainy Day…

So I didn’t really want to go out, but had some chores to do, and we needed food! I pass this barn quite often, and have photographed it in different weather conditions, but never as wet as this… It was always going to have to be a mono shot.

Day 160 – It’s A Jungle..!

A break from the almost constant rain over the last week gave me an opportunity today to check out the greenhouse. And how it’s grown! So much so that the sunflowers, which I should have planted out a couple of weeks ago, have now reached the roof. I really do need to get out there and sort things out…

Day 158 – Summer, What Summer..?

Fair to say we did not expect to light a fire at home during June! It’s been pretty cool the last few days and seriously wet, so sitting in front of the fire this afternoon with coffee and hot chocolate seemed a great idea…

Day 157 – Another Purchase…

My wife has suggested more than once that I have as many camera bags as she has handbags. I can honestly say this not true, although my collection has grown today with the addition of a beautiful Billingham bag. There is of course always an excellent reason for each new bag – today’s purchase is so I can (theoretically) travel light when we head off on holiday next. Just saying…

Day 156 – Roses Around The Door…

This little cottage is one of a row of similar buildings along the High Street in Farndon, in Cheshire. It’s pretty typical of the style of properties here, although there are inevitably some very modern houses just away from the village centre.

Day 154 – No Room…

… at the Inn. The Corbet Arms was once a prosperous hotel in town, but fell on hard times and was derelict when we first moved to the area 11 years ago. The front half of the building has been renovated and houses the local Post Office and a small antiques business, but as you can see from this photo, the rear is still far from loved…
